Turkish authorities detain 1,613 suspects

Turkish authorities have detained 1,613 suspects in nationwide operations targeting criminal groups.

Axar.az reports that Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurlek announced the figures on his X account.

“Currently, 1,613 suspects have been detained, while arrest warrants have been issued for 618 suspects,” Gürlek said.

During the operations, authorities seized 199 firearms, 9,039 rounds of ammunition and shells, two hand grenades, 10,520 synthetic drugs and narcotic pills, as well as approximately 37.25 kilograms of narcotics.
