Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush will attend Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony but will not participate in the traditional inaugural luncheon. Former first ladies, except Michelle Obama, will also attend the swearing-in.

Axar.az reports that NBC, citing sources, shared this information.

Obama and Clinton declined their luncheon invitations, while Bush's office stated no invitation was tracked. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who attended Trump’s 2017 inaugural lunch despite her election loss, also declined.

The inaugural luncheon, a tradition since 1897, includes speeches and toasts to the new administration. This year’s absences highlight strained relations, as none of the former presidents supported Trump’s candidacy.
Michelle Obama’s absence is notable, as she also did not attend former President Jimmy Carter’s recent funeral, marking her as the only former first lady missing from both events.
