President-elect Donald Trump's team is preparing a sweeping sanctions plan to help broker peace between Russia and Ukraine in the coming months.

"Among the options under consideration is a partial easing of sanctions against Russian oil companies as a gesture of goodwill towards the peace agreement. Another approach involves intensifying sanctions pressure to increase leverage over Moscow," the report said.
