First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, attended a meeting in Brussels held in the format of NATO Military Committee Chiefs of Defense.

Axar.az reports that citing the Ministry of Defense, the meeting brought together Chiefs of Staff from NATO member and partner countries.

In his speech, Colonel General K. Valiyev spoke about the development prospects of Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO, the country's participation in the Resolute Support Mission and other operations, as well as the experience gained by the Azerbaijani Army through various NATO exercises and events.

He emphasized Azerbaijan's continuous contributions to peace and security within and beyond the Euro-Atlantic area. As a partner that has fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty, Azerbaijan is committed to further contributing to international peace and security.

As part of the visit, the Chief of the General Staff is also scheduled to hold meetings with some of his counterparts attending the session.
