Germany provides financial aid to every Syrian migrant who returns to their country after the regime change in Syria.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the information of the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

Syria was added to the Return and Reintegration Program (REAG/GARP) last week as a new destination country. Syrians can apply for reimbursement of travel expenses, including airfare, regardless of whether they have been forced to leave the country or are still in the asylum process. In addition, Germany also provides one-time financial support to returnees to start a new life in Syria. Each person can receive up to 1700 euros. This one-off payment is capped at €4,000 per family.

Syrians who want to leave the country can apply for a one-time start-up aid as well as financial support to receive medical services in their country. Up to 2,000 euros per person can be provided for this.

In many cases, payments are made after migrants arrive in Syria. BAMF plans to cooperate with non-governmental organizations in Syria for this purpose.
