China fills void in Myanmar’s earthquake response as U.S. scales back aid.

Axar.az reports that with the U.S. largely absent from Myanmar’s earthquake relief efforts, China has stepped in with swift humanitarian assistance, sending rescue teams, medical aid, and supplies.

The scaled-back U.S. response, attributed to deep cuts in USAID and disaster response programs under President Trump, has left Beijing’s relief efforts more visible and widely appreciated.
