Turkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, during his official visit to Paris.

It was noted that during the meeting, various issues were discussed, including the establishment of peace and stability in the Caucasus.
Bilateral and regional issues were also thoroughly discussed.
The importance of increasing coordination with countries that are not members of the European Union (EU) in the formation of Europe's new security system was highlighted.
Expectations from France were expressed regarding the removal of artificial obstacles in Turkiye-EU relations and the EU taking concrete steps in this direction.
Additionally, H. Fidan touched upon Turkiye's support for ending the Russia-Ukraine war, expanding ties with Syria's new government, the importance of fighting the PKK/YPG, and the repatriation of foreign ISIS terrorists held in prisons and camps in northern Syria to their home countries.
