The Azerbaijan U-17 national football team, currently holding a training camp in Gabala, has played its first friendly match.

Axar.az reports that the U-17 team faced Kazakhstan’s U-17 squad. The match ended with a 2–0 victory for Azerbaijan. Nicat Karimov opened the scoring in the 28th minute, and an own goal was recorded in the 77th minute.

It should be noted that the team’s next friendly match will be against Georgia on June 10.
