Russia’s summer offensive directly aimed at capturing Kostyantynivka.

Axar.az informs that British outlet The Telegraph has reported this.

“Putin’s main objective is to occupy the entire Donetsk region. The city is located at a key intersection of road and rail routes and is part of the main line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas. Its loss would complicate supply routes and potentially bring the city of Kramatorsk within range of Russian artillery. Some Ukrainian military sources admit that the city could be lost, but they believe it would not be a disaster. According to them, Russia would suffer heavy losses in street fighting without achieving a major shift in strategic balance,” the report stated.
