Former star of the England national football team — David Beckham — will be awarded the aristocratic title of “Sir” as part of the celebrations for King Charles of Britain’s upcoming birthday next week.

It was noted that the living football legend has recently become known for his active participation in charity campaigns. He is especially recognized for his donations to underprivileged children.

It is reported that at the awarding ceremony, alongside David Beckham, his wife — fashion designer and former singer (a former member of the Spice Girls) Victoria Beckham — will also be honored with the aristocratic title of “Lady.”

In recent times, the couple has been regularly seen attending banquets and other public events with the British monarch.
