Lithuania is ready to host an additional contingent of U.S. troops on its territory.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovile Šakalienė during a meeting with U.S. Special Operations Forces Commander General Bryan Fenton.

“Lithuania is ready to receive more American troops, including special operations forces, and is therefore continuing to improve its military infrastructure for U.S. soldiers,” the minister said.

It should be noted that Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defense has announced plans to build communications infrastructure near the Butinge oil terminal on the Baltic Sea to improve connectivity with allied vessels.
