Azerbaijan to face Latvia in World Cup warm-up match

The Azerbaijani national football team continues its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a friendly match against Latvia today.

Axar.az reports coached by Fernando Santos, the team will take on the Latvian side at Riga’s Skonto Stadium, with kickoff set for 17:00 Baku time.

The match will be officiated by a referee team led by Farooq Khan Trastin.

Azerbaijan will play another friendly on June 10 in Baku against Hungary — the team’s final tune-up before the World Cup qualifying campaign begins.
