In response to a potential U.S. attack on Iran, Iran will most likely attempt to destroy energy infrastructure in the region in order to provoke wider economic crisis in West.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by James W. Carden, a senior advisor to the American Committee on the US-Russia Accord (ACURA) in an interview with Armenian media.

"Trump, I think, is not unaware of those risks. He is someone that sees himself business and economic savant and he is well aware of the risks. He knows that he was brought to office for a second time largely due to Americans anger over high rates of inflation. He undertands that Wars have a tendency to drail domestic initiatives and economy," he stated.
