Erdogan congratulates Lukashenko on election victory

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on his victory in the latest presidential election in Belarus.

Axar.az reports, citing "Belta," Erdogan expressed confidence that cooperation between Ankara and Minsk would strengthen:

“I am convinced that our political, economic and humanitarian cooperation will grow even stronger in the coming years thanks to our joint efforts. Taking this opportunity, I once again wish Your Excellency health and happiness, and I also wish Belarusian people prosperity and well-being,” the congratulatory message reads.

Notably, Alexander Lukashenko won the presidential election held on January 26 with 86.82% of the vote.
