Georgian PM meets Armenian counterpart in Yerevan

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, met with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Press Service of the Government Administration.

During the bilateral meeting, the importance of strategic partnership between the countries was emphasized, and a discussion was held on issues to be addressed at the 14th session of the intergovernmental economic cooperation commission.

The current situation in the region and the progress of the peace process were also discussed.

Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed Georgia's readiness to support dialogue and contribute to ensuring stability and peace in the region, which is necessary for the further development of the countries.

It was also mentioned that the next meeting of the intergovernmental economic commission would facilitate the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries and allow full utilization of their potential.

Kobakhidze invited his Armenian counterpart for an official visit to Georgia.

It is also noted that the Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, also went on an official visit to Yerevan this morning.
