Russian and Saudi FM discuss regional issues in a phone call

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud, held a telephone conversation on Thursday, discussing key regional issues, focusing on the situation in Syria.

Axar.az reports that during their talks, the two diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing international efforts for a political and diplomatic resolution to ongoing crises threatening peace and stability in the Middle East.

In addition to regional concerns, Lavrov and Bin Farhan also addressed practical steps to further strengthen bilateral ties between Russia and Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors.

The discussion underscores the continued diplomatic engagement between Moscow and Riyadh in addressing global and regional challenges.
