US President Donald Trump doubled down on his threat of the United States "owning" the Gaza Strip by displacing the 2.2 million Palestinians living in the enclave to neighbouring countries.

Axar.az reports that U.S. President Donald Trump made this statement to journalists after meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

"We're going to have Gaza. We don't have to buy. There's nothing to buy. We will have Gaza...We're going to take it, we're going to hold it, we're going to cherish it," Trump said.

It should be noted that US President Donald Trump has said the two million Palestinians who would be resettled in neighbouring countries under his plan to take over and rebuild the Gaza Strip would have no right of return.
