Roscosmos astronaut Ivan Wagner has captured a photo of the Great Wall of China from the International Space Station.

Axar.az informs this was reported by TASS.

"Astronauts are often asked: 'Can the Great Wall of China be seen from space?' Well, here is a picture of a part of the mountains near Beijing. The photo was taken with a camera using a 1000 mm focal length. This is about a 20x magnification. After enlarging the photo on a computer, you can see how a section of the wall stretches in the early morning light. My answer is that the Great Wall is not visually visible from space," the astronaut said.
