Ukraine is preparing to implement joint customs and border control at its borders with the European Union.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated this.

According to him, it is planned to launch a pilot project on the Ukrainian-Polish border as early as 2025.

Shmygal stressed that work is currently underway to agree on a relevant agreement with the European Commission:

"Joint border control will significantly save time for people and businesses and bring Ukraine closer to the European Union."
