After the Biden administration of US President Donald Trump lifted the ban on the supply of heavy MK-84 bombs to Israel, a batch of them was delivered to Ashdod airport.

Axar.az informs that the press service of the Israeli Ministry of Defense reported this.

"The 2,000-kilogram heavy bomb load approved by the US government has been received and unloaded in Israel. The ship carrying the MK-84 heavy ammunition docked at the port of Ashdod and unloaded. The ammunition was loaded onto dozens of trucks and transported to the bases of the Israeli Air Force," the report said.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that this is another proof of the strong alliance with the United States.

The department noted that the supply and transportation of ammunition for Israel continues: "To date, more than 76,000 tons of military equipment have been sent to Israel through 678 air and 129 sea shipments."
