The meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House did not go as expected.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about this on his X page.

"It is a shame that this happened. It is time to do everything right. We would like to have constructive cooperation and communication in the future," he said.

The head of state once again emphasized that Ukraine is ready to sign an agreement on minerals and security at any time.

According to him, he views this agreement as a step towards strengthening security and reliable security guarantees:

"I would like to emphasize once again that Ukraine is striving for peace. None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer."

Zelensky also stated that the first stages of the process of ending the war could be the release of prisoners and a ceasefire at sea and in the sky, which would imply a ban on the use of missiles, long-range drones, and strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure.

Finally, Zelensky recalled the "turning point" when Trump supplied Ukraine with FGM-148 "Javelin" anti-tank missile systems.

It should be noted that the dispute between the parties during the meeting between Zelensky and Trump at the White House has caused a great resonance in the world community. US officials are demanding that Zelensky apologize for this. Even as a measure of pressure, US President Donald Trump has suspended all military aid to Ukraine today.
