Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will visit Turkiye on March 5.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Fahrettin Altun, Head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration.
He noted that the visit is being carried out at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
F. Altun emphasized that the meetings to be held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara are intended to discuss steps that can be taken to further strengthen the brotherly ties between Turkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as exchange views on current regional and global issues.
As part of the visit, President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also attend the opening ceremony of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline via live connection.
It should be noted that the heads of state laid the foundation stone of the pipeline together on September 25, 2023.
