The Kremlin concurs with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's assertion that the Ukrainian conflict is a proxy war between Washington and Moscow, which should be brought to an end, a sentiment Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed multiple times.

Axar.az reports that Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated at a news briefing.

"We can and want to agree with this. We do agree with it. This is indeed the case. We have discussed this several times, stating that this is fundamentally a conflict between Russia and the collective West. And the collective West, of course, primarily refers to the United States. This aligns perfectly with the positions our president and foreign minister have repeatedly articulated," the Kremlin spokesman remarked.

"And yes, we agree that it is time to put an end to this conflict and this war," he emphasized.
