The West and its leaders have long since rejected diplomatic protocol and even the bounds of decency, in particular on the Ukrainian issue.
Axar.az reports citing TASS, this was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following talks with Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Amon Murwira.
"Now Starmer and Macron boasted that they were putting something on paper, Zelensky would be told what he should accept, and then they would go to Trump to approve, and all this would then be presented to Vladimir Putin," he said.
"How is this from the point of view of diplomatic etiquette? I understand that etiquette is a conditional matter, and in real diplomacy it's not even etiquette, but decency has long been violated by the West, so there's nothing surprising in this."
He also noted Russia sees no room for compromise on the issue of deploying foreign peacekeepers in Ukraine and this would not mean a hybrid war, but direct involvement of NATO in the conflict with Russia.
