Turkiye's military has continued its operations against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) in Iraq and Syria, despite the group's declared ceasefire and jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan's call for disarmament.

Axar.az, citing Ashar Al-Awsat, reports that Turkiye considers the PKK a terrorist organization, as do its Western allies.

The Turkish government remains determined to eliminate the PKK and any associated groups, including the Syrian Kurdish YPG, which Turkiye also views as an extension of the PKK.
