At a Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned both Iran and Hamas, calling Iran an existential threat not only to Israel but to all humanity if it obtains nuclear weapons.

Axar.az, citing France24, reports that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Israel would never surrender or allow Iran to become nuclear-armed.

Netanyahu’s remarks come amid ongoing talks between the U.S. and Iran over Tehran's nuclear program.

While Israel and Western powers accuse Iran of trying to build nuclear weapons, Iran insists its program is for peaceful purposes.

Netanyahu also drew a parallel between Hamas and the Nazis, stating that Hamas seeks the destruction of the Jewish people, referencing the group’s October 7, 2023 attack that triggered the Gaza war.

He declared that Hamas, like Hitler, openly wants to annihilate Jews and destroy Israel—but asserted that this goal would never be achieved.

Meanwhile, Israel’s government reported a decline in the number of Holocaust survivors living in the country, now numbering just over 120,000. On Thursday, the nation will observe a two-minute silence to honor the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis.
