A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Ecuador.
Axar.az reports that the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported this.
The tremors damaged buildings in the city of Esmeraldas and temporarily suspended the operation of some oil facilities.
It was reported that the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 23 kilometers. The relevant authorities of Ecuador announced that there was no tsunami threat.
The initial government report stated that one person was injured. At the same time, several public and private buildings were damaged, and power outages occurred in some regions.
