Turkish Intel Chief meets Syrian leadership

The head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, Foreign Minister Assad al-Sheibani, and Security Organization Chief Hussein al-Salami in Syria.

Axar.az reports that it was stated that the importance of bilateral relations between the countries, Syria's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political stability, were emphasized during the meeting, and it was said that Turkiye will always stand by Syria.

Border security, the fight against terrorism, and Israeli airstrikes on Syria were also discussed during the meeting.
