Pashinyan: Some link church liberation to Azerbaijan

Some are trying to see a Turkish or Azerbaijani trace in the process of liberating the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church from the captivity of hypocrites and Pharisees.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"This is the clearest expression of Pharisaism — when the "Azerbaijani" or "Turkish" argument is used as a tool to mask their own filth from the Armenian public.

Those who use this tactic also give external forces the opportunity to sabotage any healthy discourse, derail any reform, and keep the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church trapped in a deadlock — just as it is today.

For any force that does not wish prosperity for Armenia and the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, figures like Ktrich Nersisyan — who have desecrated the sanctity of our Church — are a gift, along with other clergy like him.

Some are taking a stance in defense of Ktrich Nersisyan. What exactly are you defending? Whom are you defending? The lie, the deceit, the corruption? In doing so, you are defending yourselves — and you have no chance.

The Armenian Apostolic Holy Church will be returned to Jesus Christ and the Armenian people. Ktrich Nersisyan must vacate the Catholicosate.

P.S. Many are trying to claim that I already have a candidate for Catholicos. Unfortunately, I do not have a candidate. What I do have is a vision of the Catholicos: someone who believes in God, someone who follows Jesus Christ — not a scheming usurer; someone who serves the Church, a devout clergyman — not a sinner hiding under a veil. And we will have a God-fearing and righteous Catholicos," he wrote on Facebook.
