News sources have reported a mortar attack on a U.S. military base in Syria.
Axar.az reports according to Mehr News Agency, informed sources stated on Monday that a U.S. military base in Syria has come under attack.
The sources specified that the American base in the Qasrak area in the western part of Syria's Al-Hasakah province was targeted.
They confirmed that the attack involved mortar fire.
Following the strike, significant military movements were observed around the base, particularly in its eastern and northern sections, and strict security measures were enforced at the main entrance.
Sources also reported that Apache helicopters flew over the area and noted that this is the first such attack on the Qasrak base, occurring amid growing public anger over the American military presence in Syria.
They added that the attack reflects the increasing activity of resistance forces in the region and suggests a likely escalation in the future.
