Azerbaijan tops Turkiye’s June gas imports

Azerbaijan was Turkiye’s largest pipeline natural gas supplier in June, reclaiming the top spot after Russia led the market during the first five months of 2026.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu, that according to data from Turkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), Azerbaijan supplied around 1.01 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to Turkiye in June, followed by Iran with 883 million cubic meters and Russia with 882 million cubic meters.

Azerbaijan has ranked first among Turkiye’s June pipeline gas suppliers for the fourth consecutive year, having held the top spot since 2023.

Turkiye’s total natural gas imports fell 6.19% year-on-year to about 3.06 bcm in June, while domestic gas consumption rose 4.59% to approximately 2.83 bcm.
