Poland intends to increase its defense spending from 3.1% to 4.7% of the country's gross domestic product next year.
Axar.az, citing RMF FM radio station, reports that leaders of the ruling coalition have agreed to draft a budget that will raise defense spending to at least 4.7% of GDP next year.
According to NATO, currently only five member states – Poland, Estonia, the United States, Latvia, and Greece – spend more than 3% of their GDP on defense.
