In Denmark, BA.2, a new variant of the coronavirus strain Omicron, is dominant.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by SVT TV channel.

In the second week of this year, BA.2 accounted for 45% of new infections.

Similar cases have been reported in Norway and the United Kingdom. 481 infections were registered in Sweden.

Anders Fomsgaard, a researcher at the Danish State Institute of Health, said people who recovered from BA.1 would have weakened immunity to BA.2 and were more likely to get sick again.
