12th of October is birthday of President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev’s sister Sevil Aliyeva.

This year Sevil Aliyeva turns 61.

Aliyeva Sevil was born on 12th of October of 1955. She went to school and musical school between 1962-1971. She continued her education in Arabic language department of faculty of Orientalism of Azerbaijan State University.

She continued her post graduate education in Orientalism Institute of USSR Academy of Sciences in Moscow between 1977-1980. She finished her post graduate research and thesis in 1981 and became candidate of historical sciences.

She has been scientific partner of USSR Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Orientalism. Has one daughter and to sons.

Sevil Aliyeva lives in London with her children. She continued her activity in music and is composer of many songs, also composed “Mother” elegy which was devoted to her sainted mother academician Zarifa Aliyeva. Also she is founder of “Space” TV channel.

S.Aliyeva is director of “Sevil” Women’s Council, proud president of “SOS” Kids’ Villages- Azerbaijan Association.

Sevil Aliyeva’s son Azer Aliyev is vice president of Weightlifting Federation of Azerbaijan.
