Employees of the Nakhchivan General Customs Department prevented an attempt to transfer a large amount of narcotics into the territory of the country.

According to the information, a customs inspection was carried out on a cargo vehicle going from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, at the border checkpoint of the Julfa state border. At that time, heroin with a net weight of 499 kilograms and 203.9 grams, was found in the car.
