President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Kalbajar region on May 27.

Axar.az reports that the head of state participated in the foundation laying ceremonies of Yanshag and Zallar villages in Kalbajar district, and in the opening of "Qamishli" and "Meydan" Small Hydropower Plants of "Azerenergy" OJSC.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the tunnels built on the Toganali-Kalbajar-Istisu highway with a length of 82 kilometers and the work done on this road and the Kalbajar-Lachin highway with a length of 76 kilometers from November 2021 to May 2023.

The head of state also participated in the opening of the military hospital in Kalbajar, the foundation laying ceremony of the residential area and the 960-student school.
