Six nuclear scientists were killed in Israel’s attack on Iran.

The victims were identified as Abdolrahim Minouchehr, Ahmadreza Zolfaghari, Seyed Amirhossein Faghihi, Matlabi-Zadeh, Mehdi Tehranchi, and Fereydoun Abbasi. All were described as affiliated with Iran’s nuclear program.
The report stated that the attack aimed to deal a serious blow to Iran’s scientific capabilities and technological development, as these individuals played a key role in the country’s nuclear program and were well-known experts in international scientific circles.
“Mehdi Tehranchi was the rector of Iran’s Islamic Azad University and a prominent nuclear physicist. Fereydoon Abbasi previously served as the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and survived an assassination attempt in 2010,” the statement added.
Earlier this morning, the Israeli Air Force launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. The attacks targeted the Natanz nuclear site, as well as missile and military bases in Tabriz and other cities. High-ranking Iranian military officials, including Chief of General Staff Mohammad Bagheri, IRGC commander Hossein Salami, General Gholamali Rashid, and several nuclear scientists, were reportedly killed.
