Aliyev and Zelensky hold talks in Copenhagen - Photo

On October 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Copenhagen.

Axar.az reports that the President of Ukraine congratulated the Head of State on the results achieved in Washington regarding the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Expressing gratitude for the congratulations, President Ilham Aliyev said that the steps taken to advance the peace agenda are of historical importance. The Head of State stressed that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts to ensure lasting peace in the region.

The meeting noted Azerbaijan's humanitarian support to Ukraine, especially the attention and care shown to Ukrainian children. The Ukrainian side expressed its gratitude for this.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on issues of cooperation in the energy sector between the two countries.
