During Ukraine’s “Ashan” drone operation, nearly 800 units of Russian armored equipment were destroyed within three nights.
Axar.az reports that Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said this in an interview with the PRESSING YouTube channel, prepared jointly with Army Media.
According to Fedorov, the operation was based entirely on the use of drones. Ukraine had previously accumulated the necessary number of UAVs and prepared intelligence data on the targets.
“Last year, we called it ‘Ashan’. In three nights, nearly 800 units of Russian armored vehicles were destroyed,” Fedorov said.
The minister clarified that the operation was not an offensive campaign but a large-scale drone strike against enemy equipment.
He added that after these strikes, Russian forces lost the ability to conduct large-scale mechanized assaults for an extended period.
“The mechanized assault that the Russians had planned to carry out in May was only possible in October. In fact, they did not have such capabilities for about six months,” Fedorov said.
According to him, Ukraine’s Defense Forces used nearly 1,000 drones during the three-day operation.
