US, G7 countries to produce long-range missiles in Ukraine

The United States and European G7 countries will produce long-range missiles and air defense systems in Ukraine under license.

Axar.az reports that the French newspaper Le Parisien published the information.

“We will produce under license not only air defense systems, but also deep-strike capabilities,” the source said, referring to long-range missiles.

The source said that the decision was announced on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Evian, France.

The G7 leaders also agreed to increase supplies of air defense capabilities, additional systems and interceptors, as well as long-range capabilities to Ukraine. They said they were ready to grant Ukraine licenses that would allow it to expand its military production.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that U.S. companies would be able to provide licenses to European manufacturers for this purpose.

“We are all currently producing too little, and this can be compensated by granting licenses to companies that have these production capabilities, including European and Ukrainian companies,” Merz said.
