President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron in Copenhagen on October 2.

Axar.az reports that the French President congratulated the head of state on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the results related to the peace agenda.

Expressing gratitude for the congratulations, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the results achieved between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington, witnessed by the President of the United States of America, are of historical importance for advancing the regional peace agenda. The head of state noted that mutual activities are currently being carried out in various directions to advance the peace agenda.

The meeting exchanged views on the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and France.
