Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the new Secretary General of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly (TURKPA) Ramil Hasan on October 15.

It was noted that Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Ramil Hasan on his appointment as Secretary General of such a prestigious organization and wished him success in his activities.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on cooperation issues within the framework of TURKPA, the current and future activities of the Assembly, and the prospects for expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation between member states.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov drew attention to the fact that TURKPA is an important platform for the development of existing brotherly and friendly relations between Turkic states at the inter-parliamentary level, and emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in expanding cooperation between states in political, economic, social, cultural, humanitarian, etc. areas.
It was noted that increasing contacts between Turkic states at various levels gives impetus to mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations. The importance of TURKPA's cooperation with other organizations responsible for interparliamentary cooperation was emphasized.
