Erdogan meets Macron at G20 summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the G20 summit held in South Africa.

Axar.az informs that Turkish media reported the information.

According to the report, the meeting discussed bilateral relations between Turkiye and France, as well as regional and global issues.

The Turkish leader emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza and delivering humanitarian aid to the region. He stated that the formula for lasting peace lies in a two-state solution and that Ankara is making efforts to achieve this.

Erdogan also said that all diplomatic resources must be used to end the war between Ukraine and Russia with a just and lasting peace, and that Turkiye will continue its efforts to bring the warring sides together for peace talks.
