The Sultanate of Oman is preparing to open an embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital.

Axar.az informs Oman's non-resident ambassador to Azerbaijan and Turkiye, Saif Rashid Al-Juwari, made the announcement during an official reception in Ankara celebrating Oman’s National Day.

The ambassador emphasized that Azerbaijan and Oman collaborate within various international organizations:

“Our relations are developing at a high level across all areas within the framework of international organizations.”

He also highlighted the growth of bilateral ties:

“Recently, Azerbaijan appointed a new ambassador to Oman, which reflects the strengthening of political relations.”

It is worth noting that at the end of last month, Azerbaijan officially opened its embassy building in Oman. The ceremony took place during Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov’s official visit to the Sultanate.
