Poland expresses condolences on January 20

The Embassy of Poland in Azerbaijan has expressed condolences on the occasion of the January 20 Tragedy.

Axar.az reports the message was shared on the embassy’s X account.

"On 19–20 January 1990, Soviet forces brutally entered Baku, suppressing protests by the Azerbaijani people and killing many civilians. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland remembers the Azerbaijani victims of those events and expresses its solidarity with Azerbaijan," the post reads.
