Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on January 19.

During the telephone conversation, the current state and development prospects of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the US, as well as the regional situation and the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, were discussed.
Bilateral contacts and discussions on the preparation of the Strategic Partnership Charter after the Washington Peace Summit on August 8 were highly appreciated, and the parties expressed their hope that the project would be agreed and signed in a short time. It was emphasized that the priorities to be determined in this direction would give additional impetus to relations between the two countries.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, brought our country's position on the prospects for Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization and the peace process to the attention of the other side. The steps taken within the framework of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and confidence-building measures, were appreciated. The importance of the work being done to implement the "Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) was emphasized.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues.
