Today, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov received the professional staff of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

It was noted that the meeting discussed the current regional situation, the importance of the agreements reached within the framework of the August 8 Washington Peace Summit, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and measures taken in connection with the peace agreement, the draft US-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership Charter that is being finalized, as well as other issues of mutual interest on the bilateral agenda.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on the initiatives raised in Congress regarding Azerbaijan and the importance of repealing Amendment 907 to the Freedom Support Act in relation to Azerbaijan.
