Trump takes pride in the close relationship built with Aliyev

Azerbaijan’s invitation to the Peace Council by U.S. President Donald Trump reflects the deep respect the American political elite holds for the country.

Axar.az reports that Israel’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ronen Krausz, made these remarks in an interview with Tеleqraf.

“There is excellent dialogue, sincere friendship, and mutual understanding between Donald Trump and President Ilham Aliyev. President Trump takes pride in the close relationship he has built with the Azerbaijani leader. By inviting him to the summit, he demonstrated great respect for Azerbaijan’s international standing and the strategic contribution it can make to the peace process,” Krausz said.

The ambassador also noted that Azerbaijan’s experience in advancing toward peace with a former conflict party, Armenia, serves as a success story for Israel:

“We view the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia as an important example.”
