The 10th meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Georgia will be held tomorrow in Istanbul.
Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the meeting will be attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, and Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili.
During the meeting, the participants are expected to review existing cooperation among the three countries and discuss joint areas of activity for the upcoming period.
Key agenda items include regional developments, foreign policy issues, cooperation in the South Caucasus, strengthening transport and regional transit networks, energy security, and the deepening of trade and economic ties.
Sources said Fidan is expected to emphasize that the strategic importance of the South Caucasus has increased amid growing geopolitical uncertainty, economic challenges, and security concerns.
The meeting is also expected to highlight the trilateral cooperation mechanism as an important and results-oriented platform promoting stability and prosperity in the region, while stressing that Turkiye’s strong and multifaceted relations with Azerbaijan and Georgia contribute significantly to regional stability and economic integration.
Regional transport projects along the Middle Corridor, particularly the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway, along with logistics network development and expansion of transport capacity, will also be in focus.
