MFA: 433 mine victims since 2020 war

Since the 2020 war, 433 people have been affected by landmines as a result of Armenia's mining of Azerbaijani territories.

Axar.az reports that the information was shared on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's X account.

The ministry said that two Azerbaijani citizens were seriously injured in the latest landmine explosion.

"Since the 2020 war, 433 people have became a victim of landmine contamination by Armenia. This tragedy is a stark reminder of the continued human cost of landmines and the dangers faced every day by innocent people. There is an urgent need for enhanced international support for comprehensive demining efforts. A mine-free future is essential for sustainable peace, development, and human security," the statement said.
